Prairie Village Chiropractor: Dr. Tony Rostberg

Chiropractic changed my life
After graduating from college, I had the good fortune of going golfing with my friend from college. During that time, I had the opportunity to get to know his girlfriend & her mom (future mother-in-law) I noticed she had used an asthma inhaler, but didn't think much of it. Years passed and my friend became engaged to his girlfriend. One day, I saw his girlfriend and the look on her face. I asked him, "What's up with his girlfriend?" He went on to tell me her mom passed away last night. I asked, "From what?" He said, "You remember she had asthma, right?" (I thought, "Yeah barely? You can't die from asthma right?") He said, "Well, she had an attack in the middle of the night & she had an attack and they couldn't find her inhaler. By the time the ambulance arrived, she was gone."
Once I discovered what great results asthma patients get from chiropractic & acupuncture I knew I had to help those that don't know. That's when I knew I didn't choose chiropractic. It choose me.
My educational experience:
After graduating with a Physics degree, I went on to teach the physical sciences - Physics & Chemistry. I love the sciences. To me, science is extremely fascinating. After chiropractic choose me, my wife Amy & I decided to take a break from the cold Minnesota weather and come down to Kansas City to go to Cleveland Chiropractic College. The school was great, one of the true pillars in chiropractic education. What surprised me most about my education is how fast those four years went by. In our second year of school, we were blessed with our son Zack. Maddie was born the Monday after I graduated chiropractic college.
Our Office is Unique vision & philosophy:
Our office is unique in a few key ways. We understand that a visit to a Chiropractic & Acupuncture office can involve a lot of unknowns, so we make everything as easy and comfortable as possible. Our office is a referral practice, which means once you understand what we do here, you'll understand why our patients get such amazing results and they refer their family and friends.
We build our practice the old fashion way...we earn it! It's called being referable, and that's what we do here. We pride ourselves on caring more for you, valuing your time and keeping our focus and attention on YOU during each visit. Our patients here at Rostberg Chiropractic & Acupuncture know that we are quick and easy to get in to see, they know the friends and family they refer to our office will be happy and that we go the extra mile for every person that comes to our office.
Family Hobbies
It has been over 18 years since my wife, Amy, caught my eye in chemistry 101. She is a registered dental hygienist in Leawood. We have two children, Zack and Maddie. In our time away from the practice, we enjoy watching the kids learn to swim in swimming lessons as well as gymnastics. I've had the good fortune to coach my son Zack in football and be his cub scout den leader, while teaching Maddie's Sunday school class.
We are a chiropractic family and practice what we preach!
I like to lead by example and with that comes the responsibility of practicing what I preach. We're dedicated to getting you truly well. We shouldn't trick our bodies into feeling better. We should remove interference so we can live our lives exactly how we see fit. My family gets adjusted regularly. When Zack was born, my wife's hips hurt so bad she had pain with every step she took. When she got adjusted, she felt like a million bucks. She said I think there should be a chiropractor in every hospital so people don't have to be in so much pain.
My son Zack was gently adjusted when he was four days old due to the stress placed on his spine through the birthing process. I recommend regular exercise, proper nutrition and limit medications avoid surgery at all cost. It's always easier to stay well than get well, but it's never too late to change your path and start in a healthier direction. I choose adjustments and acupuncture for illness rather than face the side effects of medicine.
I consider myself an excellent listener and look forward for the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenge. Give our office a call so we can see how we can help you.
